Enhance FAA’s Network Architecture for a Better Tomorrow

Develop your solution, submit your idea, and win prizes.

About the ENACT Challenge

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is exploring potential future vehicle technologies and is hosting the ENACT Challenge: Enabling Network Architecture for Collaborative Technologies. The challenge should be viewed as a research initiative and invites innovators to submit a proposal outlining the development of a detailed network architecture (technologies, modules, protocols, etc.) for high-volume information and data transaction for an FAA portion of a future Network Architecture Capability supporting the exchange of vehicle data.

The three-fold desired outcomes are as follows:

      1. To develop a solution that will lead to a stable capability that is well-positioned for future operations
      2. To demonstrate how the FAA could potentially connect with service suppliers, which are intermediaries between the vehicles and the FAA, over the internet including possible subsequent data delivery to partners
      3. To develop a solution that is compatible with FedRAMPED cloud services and technologies
      4. To provide an architecture on cloud infrastructure
